In the latest fiscal quarter ending June 30, 2024, Microsoft’s latest earnings report reveals LinkedIn’s substantial revenue increase, marking a 10% rise year-over-year. The rise is notably 9% when adjusted for constant currency, demonstrating robust performance amid fluctuating global economic conditions.
Content engagement metrics
The platform also achieved “record engagement” levels, with a 13% increase in sessions compared to the previous quarter. According to the report, LinkedIn users share 1.5 million pieces of content every minute.
In terms of content trends, LinkedIn is experiencing a surge in video engagement. This shift is further evidenced by a 34% increase in video uploads over the past year. LinkedIn is capitalizing on this trend by introducing features like a full-screen video feed, encouraging users to share more video content.
Growth in subscription services
Subscription services also saw an increase. The number of people subscribing to LinkedIn’s premium service grew by 51% during the fiscal year. Therefore, LinkedIn saw a significant rise in the number of users who opted for their premium subscriptions.
