Google is rolling out new AI-powered features in Google Shopping. Sean Scott, VP/GM of Consumer Shopping at Google, explained, "We've been using our advances in AI to make shopping on Google even easier, and today, we’re introducing a transformed Google Shopping — rebuilt from the ground up with AI."

The new tools will be available to U.S. users on mobile and desktop.

AI-generated summaries in product search results

Google Shopping is adding AI-generated briefs in product searches. Google said the tool will give users detailed insights. It will show what they are looking for and which products match users' needs.

Google will recommend products from "across the web" when users search for products on the "Shopping" tab. It will also provide summaries of the products. Google also said users will see product categories and can click through to web articles that relate to their searches.

Google will also let search results include filters. According to Google, filters will help users narrow down their preferences. Users can filter by size or see if a product is available nearby.

Personalized results

Google is also rolling out a personalized feed on the new Google Shopping homepage. This feature will show users products and videos tailored to their preferences. Users can access this new feed at shopping.google.com or by tapping the Google Shopping logo.

Users can manage or turn off personalized results by tapping "Shopping preferences" at the bottom of the page. At the top, they'll see recently searched products. When they scroll down, Google will show recommended products and videos based on their recent searches or YouTube activity.

Users can also click "thumbs down" to avoid seeing disliked items.

New deals page

Google Shopping has introduced a personalized deals page. This page will showcase offers tailored to shoppers’ interests. Users can find this feature by clicking the “Deals” link at the top of their page.

The new section has tools to compare, track, and analyze prices. Users need to log into their Google account to see personalized deals.

Shoppers can access these tools in Google Shopping. They can use the "Shopping" tab on Google Search or visit shopping.google.com.
