Apple will launch its new Apple Intelligence features to iPhone and iPad users in the EU by April 2025. According to the platform, the update will introduce several tools, including writing tools, Genmoji, a redesigned Siri, and integration with ChatGPT.
Apple delayed the rollout of its Intelligence features in June 2024. This was due to the EU's Digital Markets Act (DMA). The legislation required Apple to ensure that competing products and services can operate with its devices.
Apple has launched the first batch of "Apple Intelligence" features. However, EU iPhone users have restricted access. Users must set their device language to U.S. English. If their Apple account has a European address, they can't enable the features on iPhones, even with the U.S. English setting.
As of Monday, Mac users in the EU can access Apple Intelligence features with macOS Sequoia 15.1, if their language setting is U.S. English.
Apple will soon add support for other languages. Localized English for more countries will arrive in December 2024. More languages, including French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish, are expected throughout 2025.
